In this 2-hour in-person mini-session, I will bring my wisdom as a person who has observed over 140 births to the forefront to help guide you on how to best prepare for your birthing experience from a doula’s perspective. This info session is beneficial for both birth types (vaginal or cesarean) and all birth settings (hospital, home, or birth center).

This session is essential for those who want to learn more about how to best support the birthing person through labor and birth.

This session will cover:

  • How to best prep for birth as your pregnancy comes to an end
  • How the partner or other chosen support persons can support the birthing person throughout labor and birth
  • Different options for how to cope with the emotions and physical strengths that come up throughout labor and birth.
  • How family and/or friends can be supportive and involved if they are welcomed into the birth space
  • How to best prep for postpartum before you have the baby.
  • What signs and symptoms to watch out for when it comes to your postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
  • Physically practice of different positions for coping through labor and birth in your home *
  • Going over the basics of body/chest/breastfeeding or bottle feeding with physical position practice in your home *
