28-Krista Stackhouse & Katie Domingue-Baby Arcadia (Cadie)-Cesarean-Termination-Hysterectomy-IVF-Surrogacy-Vaginal-4 Births Combined-Hello Baby

Description:

In this episode, I had the amazing honor of interviewing both Krista, the intended parent, and Katie, the gestational carrier, for baby Arcadia. Krista and Katie talk about what led them both separately to surrogacy and how and when they met each other in that process. They also talk about how postpartum has been for each of them individually since Krista induced lactation to be able to breastfeed and Krista hindered lactation.

*BONUS INFO: Krista’s and Katie’s children loved the process and journey of surrogacy as well. They asked many questions and Katie used the explanation of her using her personal oven to bake someone else’s cake and giving it back when it’s all done. All of the ingredients were already put together by the other person, but they didn’t have an oven to bake it in, so they borrowed hers. (I absolutely love this!) Also, all of the kids got to inspect the placenta after the birth! 🙂 From what Katie and Krista can tell, they enjoyed it because they got to be involved.
